About Freedom Recovery House(S) LLC

Freedom Recovery House was founded by John W. of Murfreesboro in 2010. John had a vision for the house based upon his experiences in recovery. John saw a means of “giving back” the gift of recovery that was so freely given to him. John led by example and was and still is a positive role model in many lives including my own.

My name is Vic D. I met John as a client in 2011. I was new to recovery (for the 2nd time in my life) and to Murfreesboro with no steady job and no place to live. John gave me a chance and a place to live in Freedom Recovery House. Even though I had a sponsor at the time, John became a big part of my recovery and in all other aspects of my life which in turn allowed me to be able to purchase the original Freedom Recovery House from John in 2014. I have to say that John made this possible for me on many different levels and for that I am forever grateful to him. John set examples for me that changed my life and I will never forget that.

I have always tried to run the Freedom Recovery Houses like John did. Leading by example and sharing miracles of my recovery experiences. How I did this was by going through the 12 steps with a sponsor, cleaning up the wreckage of my past and making amends to people I had harmed, then vowed to live an honest and productive life not repeating my mistakes anymore, also by working with newcomers. In return I have received gifts beyond my wildest dreams including living a life full of peace, harmony and comfort, no more disharmony and turmoil. There is not a miracle cure. I had to and continue to put the work in, in order to stay drug and alcohol free. In hindsigth the moment I asked for help and was willing to do what ever was suggested the obsession to drink and use went away. I put very little effort into staying clean and sober in comparison to the full time job it took manipulating people and society 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to stay drunk and high. IT WORKS IF YOU WORK IT!! Don’t quite before the miracle!!
